HPR Reunion in Oregon

This year the Homer P. Richey family reunion was in Oregon.  Oregon has significance because the family lived in Klammath Falls for a time and that is also where my dad was born. My parents were in charge of the reunion and had to plan and execute the whole thing.  I didn't really want to drive all the way up there and I din't want to take a ton of time off work, so it was decided that I would fly up there with my Grandma Richey.  We left for Oregon and flew to San Fransisco.  Grandma can walk, but it's easier for her to be pushed in a wheel chair.  She was pushed through every airport we went to and was loaded and unloaded from the plane first. It was quite the experience.  After we landed in San Fransisco, we changed planes and headed for Medford, Oregon.  Once in Medford, we were greeted by my Aunt Margaret (my dad's eldest sister) and her daughter Susan.  We drove from Medford to camp.  It was kind of a long trip with Grandma, but a memorable one.  I'm glad I got to be the one to escort her.
This is the cabin we stayed in.  Nathan, Mom, Sherry, Dad and Me.
Brad and Scott had football practice and weren't able to come.
While we were near Klammath Falls, we visited the house my dad's family lived in.  This is Uncle Stephen, my dad, Grandma and Uncle Charles in front of the house.
All the kids after their pirate treasure hunt.  They also had tons of crafts and games.  My mom did a great job getting it all put together.
We shot off water rockets. This is dad shooting them all off.  He was a great sport!
At the end of the reunion we headed to see Glacier Lake but it was too foggy so we were turned away.  We then headed for their airport to drop Grandma and I off.  Our flight was delayed a ton and we were stuck in the Medford airport that is about as big as my living room.  Once we landed in San Fransisco, I noticed that our connecting flight was about to take off.  We ran, (I ran and the dude pushing grandma ran) to the gate and the plane was gone.  Luckily, it wasn't really our flight.  This flight was delayed too.  We waited about 3 hours until the flight crew finally arrived.  The plane was cold and my poor grandma was freezing.  When we finally landed in Salt Lake we were so happy to be home!  It was a great reunion!
