Summer Fun...

With summer almost half over, we are hurrying to enjoy what time is left. This summer will be the first time that Abby has gone swimming. We have spent quite a few afternoons at the Country Club swimming pool, and Abby has loved it. I bought a few baby floaties for her to sit in and they were a waste of money. She hated them. She wanted to be free!  I spend my time in the water throwing and catching Abby. Abby spends her time trying to wiggle free of my arms.

In June we made a trip to the Hogle Zoo. This was Abby's first trip to a zoo and we expected her to be a bit more lively about it. She enjoyed it, but if the animal wasn't moving or doing something spectacular, she was not interested. In the midst of our fun, the wheel on the stroller went flat. We pushed a lopsided stroller around for about an hour. At the hour and a half mark, our staying power ran out and we headed for home.

We are enjoying the summer and like everyone else, we don't want it to end!
