Yesterday Nathan wasn't able to email so we are having a Missionary Monday on a Tuesday. I waited all day for something and when I got nothin', I decided to use this excerpt from a previous email.

"So one of the things that the people here eat.. because they can just hunt them in the fields and not have to pay for them is armodillo!! I can´t wait to try it.. we walked into one house and I looked into a pot of boiling water and said whats that?.. oh it's an armodillo.. then in another house a 2 year old is chewing on something.. I say whats that?.. oh its just the armodillo tail.. haha.. I assume its good."June 22, 2010
In regards to a picture of Abby at gymnastics: "abby looks a lot older.. i think it might be her hair i dont know.. and thank you for having her wear pants to gymnastics so her 3 year old butt cheeks arent hanging out like the girl in front of her... " That was funny to me. It's classic Nathan.
"Saturday we worked half of the day but Elder Wright had a ton of stuff to pack since we were in Venado for P day.. it was planned that his parents would stop by on Sunday afternoon in Rufino, have lunch with us and then drop me off in Venado Tuerto on their way up to Rosario.. so Saturday night. we bought an entire chicken, a bunch of potatoes and bread and vegetables.. they were supposed to arrive by 2 so at 1:30 we put the chicken in the oven and started peeling the potatoes (I found a masher at the store so I was really excited to make mashed potatoes) so we get it cooking and at about 2:30 the assistants call and tell Elder Wright that his dad just called and said that there flight was delayed and they wouldnt be coming to Rufino, that they would just go to Rosario on Monday afternoon.. well.. Elder Wright was a little disappointed, but we decided to go ahead and just finish making the dinner for us anyway.. I made mashed potates and white cream gravy (there was a recipe in the missionary cookbook).. they were so good! It tasted like we were in america.. "
Nathan is king of the mashed potatoes in my family. I'm glad he could make one of his favorite dishes!
