Missionary Monday

I decided that I wanted to share little bits of Nathan's emails.  I asked him and he said, " haha sure.. excerpts... sounds good to me!" Nathan is a funny kid in person and just as funny in the emails. I can just imagine the things he describes. I look so forward to Monday's because of Nathan's emails.

"Let's get the annoying stuff out of the way... aka the bike.. no complaining.. just some experiences that I can grow from...... so I'm not sure if I've told you yet about the lack of water guards on my bike.. anyway my suits just get covered with mud.. and then the next morning I brush it all off.. then repeat.. so that has been a nice addition to my days.. so last night we were returning to our apartment and I was trying to get some extra speed so I stood up and was peddling when all of a sudden I was peddling and the chain was moving, but the tires.... they were not moving... I straight up fell right over flat onto my side.. my hands still in place on the handlebars...... my companion happens to glance back and see my floundering in the mud with the bike on top of me... I don´t know what happened because the gears were spinning but the tires werent.. so I rode his bike home and he was on mine holding onto my shoulder so I could pull us both.. haha."


"This week one of the members was having her baby. Her husband is not a member so we were gonna stop by and see how they were doing.. when we went by he said that she was going to have her baby in about an hour and if he could borrow one of our bikes to take her to the hospital.. so he peddled as she sat on the handlebars all the way across town to the hospital.. they just didn´t have enough money for anyother way. it wsa sad but glad that we could help. we went and visited her and the baby at the hospital. the baby was perfect.. and just sleeping when we got there."
