Missionary Monday

I just realized that there may be some of you that want to send a message to Nathan and that it's easier for me to send the message along.  So...if you'd like to send a message, leave a comment or email it to me at melanierwallis@yahoo.com
Thanks ya'll!

In reference to what happened in our ward (the previous post) Nathan said, "Hahah I loved your story about church because yesterday for the opening song we sang for the Strength Of The Hills and this old lady with no teeth and a cracking voice in her opening prayer said "Thank you for this song that we sang, that I have never heard before." haha it was funny!"

"We had zone conference on Tuesday which was pretty good. They changed the music rule to just Mormon Tabernacle Choir...... So that has been a change.  Some of the Latins disagree because they can´t understand the words... understandable.. but I'm glad there's finally a rule set in stone.. instead of people classifying Miley Cyrus as "inspiring".  We went to the Flag Monument and around Rosario on P-day it was really fun.  They could make the Monument a lot more of a tourist spot if they knew how to do it right.  It's really cool and has a ton of giant statues and things, but the way they have it, there's just a bunch of kids hanging out around it...haha but it was really cool. We went through this large outdoor mall thing, kind of like the Gateway, but not.  It was a lot bigger.  It had a lot of old European buildings.""

"Well in Funes we are doing well. The members help so much here I love it. We have not eaten in our apartment once this week, and they seem to always have another referral.  We are going to an activity today that is meant to bring friends to and get to know the church. The families are all really nice and strong in the gospel."

"Elder Anderson came to this stake in June and set up a plan of what he wants them to do and the stake president has to send him monthly reports on how their goals are coming.  Of course just about all of them are about missionary work and reactivation and getting families to the temple. So the stake president talked to us yesterday a little bit about what we need to do to give us a direction. That was good.  Elder Anderson (the apostle) comes back to visit the mission in October to visit the whole mission.  He´s going to come by our stake and see if there has been improvement! So if that doesn´t give us motivation... haha.   I love Funes. it is starting to warm up a little.. well just less cold.. but I guess when it hits the first of September it should start to heat up al lot!"

Sounds like he's doing awesome! I love being able to read his letters. Helps me remember my mission and reminds me that I need to still be a missionary every day!
