Dressing up is in the air

Every year we do the same thing in October - decide what to wear on Halloween.  Once the costume hunt begins I pull out The Box.  The Box contains dance costumes from the past (pretty funny stuff), Halloween costumes, and a few from plays (when I say few I mean like two).  The Box is pretty full and pretty fun.  Last year Abby didn't really care for it.  I enjoyed it more than anyone...the walk down memory lane was pretty awesome.  This year Abby was way into it.

She put on the cat costume my grandma
made for me when I was two:
Zoey looking on at the crazy costume mess:
Then Abby put on her own bee costume from when she was 18 months old.  It was small then, boy is it small now!  I think the Snow White undies really add something to the costume.
In the spirit of dressing up, Abby "dressed" Zoey up today.  She called to me, "Mom come here.  I dressed Zoey up."  I got there to find Zoey covered with towels, wash clothes, blankets and burp clothes.
Poor Zoey. She sat helpless while he big sister put towel after towel on her.  I didn't realize how much was on her until I took it all off.  I'm not sure what Abby was trying to dress her up as.  I posed the question on Facebook and here are a few suggestions: a nun, a towel monster, a pilgrim.  All good suggestions.  If you have any more I'd love to read them considering I still can't get a straight answer out of Abby.

This time of year is always fun and dressing up is part of that fun.  I never really loved it as a kid, but I love to watch my kids dress up and enjoy it.  This year Abby will be darling in her Jessie costume (from Toy Story) and Zoey will be dang cute in her lady bug.  Can't wait!!
