The Richey Family Christmas Party

On Sunday (December 19) we had our annual Richey Family Christmas Party.  The main event is usually the food!  We have a giant spread of salads, dips, sandwiches, treats and other appetizers.  We had the usual crowd: Mom, Dad, Scott, Ned, Me, Abby, Zoey, Sherry, Grant and then Brad brought his girlfriend Natalie.  It's sad to miss Nathan, but we know that he is where is supposed to be.  The biggest evidence of Nathan's absence was all the left over shrimp.  Nathan is the shrimp eater!  I made rice pudding in the Crock Pot and it was pretty good.  My mom always does a magnificent job with everything!  Thanks Mom!!!
It was so yummy!!!
After the great food we opened presents!  Remember that this is Zoey's first Christmas and her first experience opening presents.  She LOVED presents!  Who doesn't?  She really loved the wrapping paper.  She almost got her own presents opened.  She's my kind of girl.    After the presents we played BINGO.  We always play BINGO and get to open little presents.   The best part of the game is the the prizes are generally geared toward Abby.  So, for example:  Grant opens a pack of little girl braclets and a candy bar.  He looks at his prize and says, "Abby, I think these are for you!"  Abby spent the party gathering up prizes from everyone.  It was such a blast!  Both girls got an outfit from Grandma and Grandpa, a toy or two and then presents from Sherry and Grant.  This is such a fun time.  We are so blessed to have a great family and that we can get together and enjoy each other's company.
Thanks for the good times ya'll!
