Since Christmas....

I keep posting things that are about specific events, yet, we don't really live life that way.  There are tons of pictures that are worth sharing yet they don't have much of a story.  I have decided to WOW you with photographs of my darling, clever, wonderful children.  Before the pictures you need a bit of an update.
Ned has been working like crazy. He obviously can't play golf - there's snow on the ground.  He sold his motorcycle and I am constantly looking for other things of his to sell.  He is not doing the same.  Ned has put  about 48,000+ miles on the truck this year with all the traveling.  He gets to see some beautiful places and we are excited to tag along one day (maybe) and see them too.  I have been being a mom.  I love it. Who wouldn't with my fabulous children.  We have had lots of fun with friends and cousins, play-dates, reading tons of books and putting the toy room to good use.  I still read a bunch.  The last book I read was so stupid that I literally skimmed it.  I had to know what happened at the end.  I can't help it.  It's a compulsion.  After the literary disaster, I finally took the advice of my cousin Holly, and picked up The Help and am now a happy reader again.  I am currently making a list of all the stuff I want to fix, change or make better in the house.  The list is lengthy.  If you want to help come on over.  The more the merrier.  Abby is still going to preschool twice a week and gymnastics once a week.  She makes up songs all day long and spends hours singing and talking to her stuffed animals and dolls.  Her favorite food is still chicken nuggets and fries but now she'll drink Root Beer as well as Sprite.  She says the most darling prayers and can't wait to read stories with me each night.  She told my mom the other day, "Grandma it is January."  My mom said, "Really?"  And she said, "Well ya.  Miss Jill said so."  She takes her teacher very seriously.  Zoey is now 10 months old and is absolutely hilarious.  She claps when you clap, she yells to get attention, crawls away when I call her and stands up to everything she can get her hands on.  The other day she said, "OOOOOOM."  Really loud.  I'm pretty sure she means mom.  She has already figured out how to scold Abby for taking toys away from her. She's not dumb.  She knows if she yells loud enough you'll stop whatever it is you're doing and pay attention to her.  She has three teeth and three more about to make their appearance.  We are still one big happy family.  Now the promised pictures.

We had a little New Years Ever thing at my parents house.  There was delicious food and great fun.  Of course the girls were in bed by 8:45 and we rang in the new year while sleeping.
This is how Erin and I went to Walmart one Saturday.  Yes, we are brave.  This worked well until I needed to buy a tote.   The kids were pretty good though.
This is when Zoey stood up in her crib for the first time. The flash always makes her close her eyes. She was so proud though.
Zoey figured out that my computer was a pretty fun toy.
Abby still paints everyday and is a self proclaimed artist.  She loves to draw or paint or color or whatever.
Zoey not only jumps in the jumper but catches some serious air.
I think that I need to take pictures of me with my girls.  There are none.  I am always holding the camera.  Get ready for some bad shots of me, taken by me.

In the New Year's shot my first thought was, "they have some funny tinsel still hanging on the porch and it is right behind Mel's head." Then I noticed Grandma. AWESOME hat!!!!!

I think you summed things up very, very nicely. Remind me, and I'll take some photos. I should.
