Missionary Monday on Wednesday

February 21, 2011:

"Hello family!!!  Well this was a really good week! I am adjusting well to the new life adjustments... haha. It is a little bit different than what I have been doing before, but I really enjoy it. This week I have been starting to take over the work of the finances a little bit, so Elder Mitchell can correct me if I make a mistake while he´s still here...haha! I had my first driver´s ed session this morning at 5:45 haha. I only killed it a couple of times on a speed bump...but I´m getting it.  It´s definitely a lot easier than trying to drive the Stanza (*my dad's old car that was a stick shift)!!!  Well I´ll tell you a little bit about what we have been doing...So this week we have been working with a couple of investigators that Elder Mitchell and the assistants have had for a while that get to the point of baptism, and then something happens and they don't do it.  They both have their interviews and everything too.  So it has been a little tough to find them, but we have been able to pass by them, teach them and help them realize the importance of making baptism their top priority. They should both get baptized this weekend. In other great baptizing news, My comp and I in my last area left 8 people with baptismal dates, that we were really sad to have to leave without any Elders to help them get to baptism... Well, we have talked with the zone leaders of my last zone and had some arrangements, and 4 of them got baptized and confirmed this last weekend!!! I was so excited to see them. It was the most that the mission baptized this week! It made me so happy!!!!!!!!!

"I love being in the offices and getting to work by President everyday. Every time there is a question or we´re not sure what to do, he has the answer. He´s so inspired!! We have district meeting in the offices, its just us office Elders and President comes to it. It´s a lot of fun, and he always gives the best advice. I'm lovin' the air conditioning, microwave, carpet, and working with the best missionaries. Everyone here really knows how to work. I've gone on divisions with the assistants a few times, and I always think about what they do and how it works and try to apply it. I know
I'm going to grow a lot here!! I was thinking about it, and I remember Brad being in the offices for the transition of the new president, and I will get to do the same! I love the area here, there are a ton of good people, and people ready to be baptized! I love you all, I've got some stuff to do, but I will write you again next week! Have a good week!!!"
**I'm fairly certain Nathan said this was the mission home....maybe not.
