Missionary Monday on Thursday
So, this is a first. I've NEVER posted a letter from Nathan on a Thursday. To be fair I didn't get a letter from him until yesterday, so really, I'm not that far behind. I have to say that the pictures he sent are amazing. How good does my brother look?

"Hello Family!!! I am finally writing you this week! It has been a fun couple of days around here, but currently I am all on my own now in the new job. We just got back from taking Elder Mitchell to the bus station to go to his new area. He is going to be a zone leader in my old zone of Santa Fe Norte. We just had lunch with all of the new missionaries and their trainers with President and his wife. This week has been a lot of fun. The past 2 weeks we have gone on "roadtrips" to other parts of the mission helping missionaries move and take furniture and things. They have been a lot of fun, and I've gotten to know a ton of the missionaries. These last couple of days we had to get everything ready for the missionaries that finished and then everything for the ones that were coming. So that was a lot of fun. Some parents came to pick up their missionaries, it was cool to see all of that. One of the Dad´s had been the assistant here and was telling us all about how everything used to be. We had a baptism this Sunday! It was a really good service, we sang a "special musical number" for it. A kid named Alex, who´s Grandma is active, but that´s about it. But he reads the The Book of Mormon everyday and loves to sing all of the songs. I also had to give a 20 minute talk in church the other week.. went well.. I suppose.. It´s been a ton of fun the last few weeks with Elder Mitchell learning everything.. I just hope I am ready to be alone!"
"President.. FINALLY.. told me I was looking skinny.. The first time I didn´t have to weasel the response out of him.. That was a plus. We had a big Barbecue for us on last Friday because the mission baptized a bunch last week. And we are going to have another this week because the mission baptized 111 in February, more than any other month for more than like a year and a half or something...and it was the shortest month. So President was really happy. I was glad to have contributed 8 of them. hehehehehe. We found out that our new mission president is President Julianni or somehthing he is from the same stake in california as the assistant! Well thank you for all of your letters. I'm sorry I'm sending this so late. I will make time next Monday!! I love you!!!"

Melanie,
Thank you soooo much for keeping up on Nathan's part of the blog. You do a much better job than I do of the scrapbook, unfortunately.
Love,
Mom
I agree, he looks FABULOUS! I can't believe how skinny he is. He looks so happy too. I'm so glad he's doing so well. We always felt bad for the financial secretaries in our mission. They had to deal with a LOT of stress and just lots of problems...money not going into our accounts on time, refunds, etc. I think the financial secretary actually did more stressful work than the assistants! So, good luck to him!!
