Thanksgiving has officially come and gone. All that is left of the day, is the left overs. The best part of this Thanksgiving was the fact that I only put in a total of 7 hours at Sandy's slinging pie filling, instead of 4 days. My poor sister Sherry was not so lucky. She spent almost every waking minute from Monday morning to Thursday night organizing, making and in general handling the whole operation. She made it to dinner just in time, and I totally remember that feeling.
We ate our dinner at my Grandma Fletcher's house. It was as usual, delicious! When I think of Thanksgiving, that is what I picture. I have always felt at home at Grandma's as have the rest of my siblings and cousins. We come in and make our selves at home. Grandma wouldn't have it any other way.
This year, we have much to be thankful for as everyone could say, but I figured I'd list a few, so here goes. I am thankful for our family, each other. Life would be hard to live if I didn't have Ned and Abby. They make my world go 'round. I am thankful for a husband who would do anything through pain sweat and tears to take care of Abby and me. I am thankful for my parents who no matter what will and have always been there to help me at a moments notice. I am thankful for my sister Sherry, whom without, I would be lost. She has seen me through some very tough times and been there for my Abby when I couldn't. And last but not least, I am thankful for prayer. I am thankful for the opportunity to speak to my Heavenly Father anytime and anywhere.
Enough of the sentiment. When the turkey is gone, it is officially time to decorate for Christmas and blast my Home Alone Christmas CD. Bring on CHRISTMAS!!!
If you haven't had the privilege of viewing our Sandy's commercial, It's still on the blog a few posts down. It will brighten your day - guaranteed.
