Life is a little mundane these days and it's not producing anything to write about. So I decided to share the pictures from what would have been a classic blogging moment had I had a blog. In January 2008 we woke up one morning and found water running down the cement wall in our basement. The water appeared to be coming from the kitchen. It was actually coming from the really old dishwasher. This discovery lead to a long and tedious process of replacing the floor. The water had rotted away the entire sub-floor for 3-4 feet in diameter. The pictures really speak for themselves. Let's all keep in mind while viewing these photos, that Abby was only 10
months old and crawling. Giant hole in the floor does not equal safe place for a crawling baby. Oh that I had had a blog back then...you could all have suffered right along with me.

We have a giant kitchen remodel in the planning, so this will
look VERY different VERY soon.

Oh Melanie. I knew that this had happened-what I didn't know is that it is still in the state of construction! YOu are a better gal than I am. I would have packed up the kids and told Andy to call when everything is back to normal. YOu def. deserve a remodel!!!!
I was about to write cute kitchen, but then I saw the unfinished floor.
I am trying to decided if my parents are really working or just supervising, with my dad sitting down and my mom standing in her normal position with her arms crossed! Looks like supervising to Me!! HAHA
