Do you remember the commercials where the dude is sweeping the floor with his dog and then the phrase, "Need Something?" Flashes across the screen? We had a similar situation happen today. Abby started using my LEGS as a slide. She usually uses the back of the couch, the stairs or anything else that could constitute a slide. I decided that my legs wouldn't last all summer with a 2 year old sliding down them. I decided that we NEEDED something: a slide! I put us in the car and drove to Toys R Us to get a slide. I walked into Toys R Us and bought a Little Tikes slide. This thing is free standing and will also fold for storage. It took me, my neighbor Stacy and ALL of the neighbor kids (6 in all) to put it together. I think that my legs will thank me later. Poor little girl just wanted to have a slide. I think that I did a great job of rectifying that need today. Yippee for a slide!!

We have a slide too.
And ya know what? My kids loved it for about a week. And now they never touch the thing. I keep wondering if I buy them a trampoline--will the same thing happen? Oh, please say 'no'.

Good Job for fixing the problem!! My girls would looove a slide like that, I bet Abbie is in heaven. Good Job on finishing your ESL classes, was it Jane King that took them with you by chance?? I know she had to take them too. Well, I hope your summer is full of fun with Abbie and Ned! That is a super bonus about being a teacher, summers off!!!
That looks awesome! And yes, it's totally worth saving the legs.
