Missionary Monday

August 23, 2010

"Well this week was not one that I would care to dwell on much...haha...it started out good and we were doing good, until we both started dying.  We would go out and try to work and be nothing but light headed and have to sit down or we would pass out.  So we called the Sister Villalba and she told us some things to do.  Our district leader got a sinus infection and the doctor told him he couldn't leave his apartment for 2 weeks. So at least that didn't happen to us.  We are still a little whoozy and have cold symptoms, but we are going to push through it. We found some really good people at the beginning of the week, that I hope we can find again!!  Last monday was the branch activity.  I played volleyball and some soccer.  We ate a lentil soup thing that was really good. All of the members came and it lasted 7 hours...I couldn't believe that a ward activity could hold everyone´s attention for so long!! haha The Stake Presidency came also. It's so funny to see all of these old men playing soccer, but playing it really really good and doing all of these tricks.  Truly not much happened this week all things considered! I am sure this upcoming week will be a lot more eventful!!

"So...we´ve started running in the morning and I want to die everyday!  It's sucky but we do it early before everyone's awake as not to embarrass myself.  So last night when we were dying still...I said, "Do you want to play Phase 10?"   He's like, "Sure Ive played once."  So I made Phase 10 cards and I remembered all of the phases and we played it...and he won...I was angry."

:) Phase 10 is a great game - I don't think I would remember the phases :)
