Missionary Monday

September 6, 2010

"Well, here we are the last week in another transfer! Happy Labor Day!! This last week we arranged to have an English class every week Thursdays! We are hoping to get members to bring their friends to it and get some things going around here in Funes! We have had a few family nights with some families to get some references, and are working on contacting them.. sometimes they will say, "There´s this person but don´t tell them I gave you their name."... haha.. I did that a couple of times, but when they go out with us to the reference´s house, is when we will have the most success!!! I was a little sick again this week. I think it was a mix of a cold and allergies but it wasn´t too bad..."

"We have started to try and make the ward mission council meetings actually functionable and working.  This last week, only the Elders Quorum president showed up but we will get them all one of these days!! They are all really good members, they just need to do more. Well that is about it!! Just a lot of walking trying to find some people to teach as well!"
*The above pictures were taken at a member's house.  They were emailed to my parents with the following note: "We had the pleasure of having  the Elders at home! Elder Swank made cinnamon rolls to have after a movie of J.(oseph) Smith. They are two great young men and worthy ambassadors of their homes. Mom and Dad should be very proud of them!"

"The BEST PLACE on EARTH and the parrots that always fly around....the same kind as we had...here they cost 3 dollars in America they cost 100 dollars...haha You can't tell, but there are three patties!! (on the Big Mac)"
