"Mom they tried to give me watermelon!"
I may have mentioned this, but Abby is a picky eater. She only eats "Abby food"....sound familiar? In nursery they usually eat Goldfish crackers and other things like that. A few weeks ago the nursery leaders handed out watermelon. Abby did not like that at all. She didn't eat it, of course, and threw it away. I didn't find out about the watermelon until Abby was reluctant to go to nursery. After a few weeks of hesitation, one of the nursery leaders said, "I am so sorry about the watermelon." What? She went on to tell me the story about the watermelon and how she didn't think Abby really cared until she started coming in every week asking, "Are we going to have watermelon?" When I asked Abby about this she told me, "Mom they tried to give me watermelon. I don't eat watermelon, it's not 'Abby food'."

Hahaha. That is too funny. Sad, yet funny!
That is so funny! How could they do such a thing?! I love that she calls things "Abby food".
What a sweetie! My Zoey hated watermelon until this summer. Now that she is five she wants it all the time! Kids are so funny!
All I can say is, thank heavens for seedless watermelons! :)
