Ned's family always celebrates six month birthdays for the babies. I had never heard of this idea and I loved it! When Abby was little I invited everyone over to watch her demolish her first piece of cake. With Zoey's six month birthday approaching, I did the same thing. I invited the whole family over to celebrate Zoey's first six months (I also figure it's a celebration that I have survived that long as well). These parties are pretty simple: watch small child try to eat cake.....
Today Zoey went in for her check up. She weighs 15 pounds and is 25 inches long. She is in the 25th percentile in everything. She's "petite" as the doctor put it. For all she eats I was surprised.
A few things about our darling 6 month old:
- She can sit on her own
- She eats anything you put in front of her. Everyday she eats 2 fruits and 1 veggie and 2 doses of baby cereal.
- She falls asleep in her crib on her own at night.
- She still takes great naps in her swing.
- She can take her binkie out of her mouth and put it back in correctly - most of the time.
- She thinks that Abby is funnier than I am....that's debatable.....
- She loves to play with toys and if she can't get it, she tries really hard.
- She loves water and the tub...and having a bath with Abby
- She is the biggest mama's girl. I totally love that! :)
- She is always so happy to see Ned when he comes home.
- Her face lights up when she smiles
- We love her!!

What a fun idea! The cake is adorable, but definitely not as adorable as Zoey. What a cute little girl!!
She is so cute and tiny! At Nixon's 4 month appointment he weighed 18.9lbs. He's a chunk. Question...when you bathe the two girls together how do you it? I put Beck and Nix in the bath together now, Nix in his baby bath and Beck in the big bath, but Nix is too big for the baby bath now so I don't know what to do. He doesn't sit up yet either....Any suggestions?
We love the Zo Zo. I was impressed with her cake eating--she is a food girl!
