Missionary Monday

"Hello family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Well it has been another really good week here in Arrecifes!!!! We found a lot of great people this week and taught a lot of great people.  First and foremost, we are (tentatively) having a baptism this week!!!!!!!!! Her name is Valeria and we have been teaching her. She and her husband got married so that they could get baptized, but he is still a little hesitant and doesn't feel prepared. Her son was baptized a while ago, and she wants to get baptized too!! So that will be really good!!!

On Saturday we were eating lunch at the branch presidents and his grandpa (a member) stuck his head in the window and asked for us to stop by when we were done. So we did. He told us about a guy he met at the bank and they started talking about the chruch. Well he told him about us and that we could help him and his wife. So he led us over to where his house was.  So their names are Carlos and Yolanda, and they are older, but have a lot of faith, I don´t know what this grandpa guy told him, but Carlos believes it all.  He truly just wants to be saved. We told him about church on Sunday and he said if that's what he needed to do they would be there. His wife has something really wrong with her leg and can barely walk completely hunchbacked. We comitted them to baptism and they accepted like of course they would why not (which was very nice to hear).  On Sunday when we got to the church they were sittin there on the front row. They got there early!!!! what???!! hahaha  Carlos calls us "pastor" haha he´s funny.  We aren´t sure if they are married are not but considering their age I would assume...but ya never know around here... but I wouldn´t be surprised if they would just get married just to get baptized."

"We keep working hard to get into doors right on contact rather than setting a return appointment it has helped a lot and we have gotten into a lot.  One on Saturday is a radio host here in Arrecifes, and he has a show where they just talk about topics and he invited us to be on the show one night for 15 minutes to talk about the church. We are going to get permission for sure first, but he was really nice and seemed genuine, so I don´t think it was a trap to make us a look dumb, but we think it would be a lot of fun to go on there, remove some doubts and clear up false crap, and get into some houses!!! haha I don´t know... we´ll see how it works out!"

Cinnamon Rolls and pretzels that Nathan made from scratch.  In regards to the pretzels he said, "You should really make the pretzels.. ya know go to Chevron get some nacho cheese for them...(7-eleven´s is too spicy) and eat em...We dipped them in ranch.. ahhhh so good!!!"
