Missionary Monday on Tuesday

Happy New Year!!!

Well it has been a pretty fun 2 weeks! I will try to give some of the highlights!

Christmas was very fun! The phone call especially!!!! It was fun to talk to everyone and hear that everyone is doing good! Well we made a very good Christmas dinner thanks to all of the Thanksgiving food that mom sent me! (He got his Thanksgiving packages and Christmas packages at the same time due to when transfers fell)  We spent the rest of the day in the apartment playing Phase 10, eating food, and cleaing a little... very little.... I braved the heat of the night before and stayed true to my Christmas pjs!!!!!!!!! haha I loved opening up all the presents, and the french fry cutter would industrialize this country if they knew I had it here. I´m almost positive they are still cutting french fries with arrow heads.. hehe just kiddin..

On the 23rd we had a Baptism! Elder Jones asked Elio if I could do it, so that was awesome to baptize him! The service was really good, just a little false doctrine preached, and just a little bit of the branch mission leader making everyone in the room feel awkward by his conducting... But it was really fun, the family is getting better and better!

New Year´s was a fun day, we weren´t allowed to leave the apartment, so it was basically the same exact day as Christmas. The fireworks on both New Years Eve and Christmas Eve at midnight were so loud!!!!!!! I took video of the sound haha. They woke us up both nights! Some members brought us some grilled lamb though for lunch, so that was really good.

The past 2 couple of weeks work-wise, I think have been the best of my mission, Elder Jones and I have been really dedicated to our goals, and we´ve focused on reaching them more than anything, and we´ve seen a lot more results. So that is probably the best yet. I´m really glad that I´m understanding more and more of the mission the way everything works, what's effective and what's not, so that I can be more effective.

Yeah the heat is definitely getting pretty.... hot... last night it was 87.4 degrees F going to bed. We just both laid there until I said.. I can´t sleep... and yep Elder Jones was still awake too and said me neither.. it was midnight.. so I took a cold shower and still wet, went to bed and fell asleep.. haha  I hope you are all enjoying winter back home!!!!!! I will write you next week!
