Missionary Monday on Tuesday

March 28, 2011:
"Hello family!!  Well, I have had a day full of work, I´m sorry I am writing you so late! I swear it always seems like my "p-days" are the ones that I have to do the most work! Well we just got done planning and everything so I am good to write a bit! This week was good! President was gone basically the entire week... again...lame... but it´s alright.. haha... but the assistants were here to work with us in our area, which is definitely a plus. This week has been kind of strange with visitors.. We've had some sister missionaries here all week long, different ones having to do things in Rosario.  Anyway...they are a handful...I guess that's a good way to put it? As far as the work goes. We are finding a lot more really good people.. People that will let us in whenever and that we are getting to form relationships with.. Rather than just awkward times talking.... haha."

"We are all very excited for General Conference this week!!! I think I might be actually able to watch it in English this time... Although now it´s the time that I would be fine watching it in Spanish!!  We are gonna put a big push on everybody going to the stake center to watch it.  In other cat news....... With the cooling temperatures, the cats are everywhere... it's a present fact when I have to STEP OVER DEAD ONES IN THE ROAD.... ugh... (may the gray one rest in peace.)...  But it is a lot more pleasant to work when you´re not sweating so much! Though the mosquitoes are still a terror! We were teaching a lesson out on the front porch of an investigators house, and it eventually just became dark, so he went inside and turned on the light, and there were 100s of mosquitoes around us. We all started a swatting fest. Then after I got home and took off my socks... I realized itching my bites on my ankles with my pen was a bad idea when I saw all of the circles I had drawn on myself... :)"

"We had a nice other barbecue Saturday and Sunday.  Hermana Villalba cooked it for us on Sunday so that was also a nice treat.. haha.. During lunch.  We were just telling stories about awkward moments in lessons and things where we would say the wrong spanish words and everything and Elder Vanderholm decided to tell one about when he accidentally asked a girl if she was "easy" instead of asking her if her life was easy..... Anyway.. the Hermana in her purity.. just said.. "I don´t understand:" and then he proceeded to tell her what that meant... oh man...love feeling awkward............ I am loving my time here. I am making a ton of great memories and my teaching skills, and everything with the mission is improving a ton. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to be on the mission and here in my area. I love it. I love the gospel and I love all of you. Thanks for everything!! Sorry I´m really tired.... but I hope you all have a really good week!!!!  I love you!"
