Zoey's First Birthday

Today was Zoey's first birthday.  She didn't understand that it was her birthday - one year olds never do.  We had a party with family which included a yummy dinner that my mom made, cake and ice cream.  She was an absolute darling until the party guests showed up.  She got  really clinging and would only let me hold her....and then my dad showed up.  She loves my dad.  She would let grandpa hold her.  Once she got comfortable, and everyone arrived, it was time to party!

And now...the best part of the party being over - the pictures!!

The cake. After the crazy disaster with Abby's cake, I was not going to be beaten by another cake. This one had issues when I was trying to frost it, but in the end, I won!

Opening presents.  Zoey got some great things.  Sherry got her two adorable outfits from Gymboree (love that store) with shoes and bows.  She will look so dang cute in them...I'm thinking she'll have to wear them in her one year pictures.  She also got a wagon from my parents and a bunch of stuff from us.  Abby picked out a present for her and couldn't wait to give it to her.  I think that Abby really wanted it for herself though.

Her piece of cake.  It's no secret that she loves cake, I've been letting her eat it for a while now.  She loved this one too!

After the crowd died down, she sat and played with her new toys.  She really loved the puzzle and the Little People Zoo.  

We love our sweet Zoey!  Happy Birthday my darling baby girl!
