As many of you know the Ogden Temple closed on April 1st to undergo a major renovation. If you didn't know, now you do. The entire exterior will be totally different. This really bums me out for a couple of reasons: #1 - I grew up here and it is an Ogden fixture. #2 - It's where I was endowed, first did baptisms for the dead, and where we got married! #3 - I get freakishly attached to inanimate objects and buildings. On Wednesday Erin and I decided that we would take our kids and visit the temple grounds one last time and take some pictures. Erin's camera battery was dead and mine died shortly after our little photo session began. We are so good at being prepared....we still got some fun pictures:
They were in love with the flowers. They were pretty. The prim roses and pansies were to die for!
Me and my girls
Erin and her kids with my child that refused to move.
They loved this statue of the elderly couple reading a story book.
I love the random lady up on the steps, who was trying so hard to get a good picture of herself while our kids ran through her shot about a hundred times.
We will miss the old look of the Ogden temple but are excited to see how it looks in the end.

Ditto to everything you said Melanie. It will be so weird to not see it like that anymore. I wish I was there to take some pictures, good idea.
You are not the only one that thinks the same thing.. It is really sad.
