Missionary Monday on Wednesday

April 4, 2011:
"Hello!!!!  Well it has been another good week here! Conference was great! I actually got to see both sessions on Sunday, as well as the Priesthood Session! I loved conference this time. We watched it in Spanish, but of course by now I could understand it. I would still rather hear their voices and not a translators but it's all good! I loved Priesthood session, to me the theme of doing your best, reaching your potential, and making your dreams a reality was great. All of the talks were great. Lots of marriage talks... I bet Brad´s glad he got on that before the Prophet and Apostles had to tell him to!! haha. Well we had 5 investigators come to the conference on Sunday, and they all really enjoyed it. A guy came up to us in the road about a week and a half ago, and told us that his nephew was in our church... (our ward's elders quorum president) and so anyway, he said he´d talked to missionaries before but never went to church or anything.  We have been teaching him this last little bit, and he is progressing a lot. He has quit drinking, he says it just makes him feel sick when he´s around it, and stopped a little bit of smoking too. He said he feels so happy and loves it.. So anyway, he came to church with us on Sunday. We are hoping that he can get baptized very soon! There is another couple that the assistants found that came to conference that are really cool too. After conference they went and bought chocolate milk and Churros and wanted to come to our apartment and talk........ of course we had to reject.. but they are really awesome and have been searching for the truth for a while, and really feel like they are finding it in the church now. YEAH!!.
Yesterday in between conference sessions Ismael got baptized!!!!!!! It was awesome. The best baptism I have been to on the mission for sure.  After he came up out of the water  he just sat and hugged Elder Vanderholm for probably over a minute.  Everyone was just crying. His family who aren't members came too and are now being taught.  Afterwards, another member and I took him home after conference and he was telling me how he´ll never forget that I was the first missionary that taught him, and how it was when we watched the Restoration with him... He is so excited to go on a mission.. I love him. He´s awesome.
Well... We have just been working and working in the offices.. same ol' same ol'...... Not much to report on as far as that is concerned.. But I love you all!! And I hope you have a good week!! "
