December 10: The Christmas Dresses
My mom gave the girls the most darling dresses, shoes and a purse to match. They love them all. Abby wore the shoes everyday for a week.
It's hard to tell, but the shoes are velvet with bows on the toe.
SO CUTE!
SO CUTE!
I just had to take a picture of them in their darling coats on the way to church. I just can't get enough of these two!
December 11: The Wallis boys take on Denver
The Wallis boys headed to Denver to watch the Bears play the Broncos. Even though the game ended badly and so did their season, the boys had a great trip.
December 11:
While Ned was in Denver, we celebrated Sherry's birthday at my parent's house. Sherry's birthday is actually in November, but we couldn't celebrate until now.
Abby helping Sherry blow her candles out - I promise they're not on fire.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHERRY!
December 17: Holiday Party in Idaho Falls
Ned and I headed to Idaho Falls to attend a holiday party. The best part was that we got to see our friends Pierre and Christina. The food was really good though. Who doesn't like prime rib, giant Idaho potatoes, and rolls? We stayed the night in Idaho Falls without our children. My mom was kind enough to stay with the girls.

Me with Christina. I love this woman, she is such a fun friend to have.
December 18: The Richey Family Christmas Party
As always, we had great food, good games and of course, presents! This year mom changed up the games. We usually play BINGO, but this year we played a white elephant game (which caused me so much stress to find gifts) and one where you make Rudolph using balloons and giant pantyhose. Hilarious! Sherry wins the white elephant game with a medicine cup with a stool in it and the label: Stool Sample. She also had a maxi pad with a giant eye on it and a label: iPad. She wins! It was so funny!
We all got wonderful presents and it was fun for the girls to get a few things before Christmas. They had a great time playing with everything before they got overwhelmed with all the rest of their gifts. Thanks for the wonderful evening everyone!
My girls with their Great-Grandma! I'm so glad they get to have her in their lives.
Abby with Rudolph's nose
Mixing my salad - which was bomb by the way.
Abby couldn't wait to open presents. She had to open one in between each game. She was too excited!
Zoey caught on to 'opening presents' pretty quickly. She was a natural at it.
December 19: Enjoying new toys
December 21: Lights and houses at Christmas Village
We had a little progressive dinner with my family this night. We had an appetizer at Brad and Natalie's cute apartment, main dish at my mom's and dessert at my house. In between the main course and dessert we headed to Christmas Village. Abby loved it. She had so much fun dragging her Grandpa around. Zoey liked the houses, but she really liked the lights, and being held by Brad or Natalie or me.

Poor Zoey. She is being squished by her mama and her hands are barely in those mittens.
Dessert: Chocolate fountain delight and hot cocoa. How good is that?
My girls dancing with Sherry, Santa and the rest of the great-grandchildren.
Abby and Santa. She was super excited and she told him she wanted a video game thingy.
Zoey was pretty excited about Santa. She told him that Santa says, "HO HO HO". She was very brave.

This is the stuff that Santa's elves brought at the last minute for Ned and me. Santa hadn't really brought anything for us because he (me) was so busy worrying about all the other Christmas stuff. Notice that all these things may or may not have already been in the house.......
Santa ate the cookies and drank the milk!
Abby's new video game thingy - also known as an InnoTab. She LOVES it!
Zoey got this cute train set and she loves it.
Twinkle toes!
My new boots from Ned. He gave me so many nice things!

December 24: Christmas Eve at Grandma's house
As always, We had a wonderful dinner and evening at my Grandma's house. After the fabulous food (the stuffing was out of this world, this year!) we had our traditional visit from Santa complete with Christmas carols accompanied by Grandma.
Zoey really tried to help....it added a lot of spunk to the carols. My girls dancing with Sherry, Santa and the rest of the great-grandchildren.

This is the face that Zoey was giving us after Santa left. She was pretty attached to Santa and was really disappointed when he left. Poor Zoey wanted Santa to come back...she followed him out of the room and down the hall. This is also the mad face I get from this kid all the time. Every story, every situation is very dramatic.
Me and pretty Sherry!
After a wonderful evening at Grandma's we headed home to have our own Christmas Eve fun at our house.
December 24: Christmas Eve at our house
The girls opened the traditional PJs and then I attempted to get a decent picture of them together....attempted.
I tried....and tried.....
and tried....(I love the tears and Abby's angry face)
Mostly success.
Abby got Santa's cookies and milk ready to go. She added a few carrots for the reindeer too. After Ned and Abby sprinkled the 'reindeer food' on the front lawn, we were ready for bed.
December 25: Christmas Morning!!
Santa came to our house! Ned kept telling Abby that if we turned the fireplace on Santa would come down the chimney and, "burn his butt." We were careful to keep the fireplace cool so that St. Nick could successfully bring our gifts.

Zoey kept telling me that the flash was, "bight".
Then there were more presents!
Before the presents could begin this happened.....
I knocked the tree right over. Also, my camera's date is off. It was December 25th, I promise. The poor tree. It broke a bunch of ornaments and it was never the same. Twinkle toes!
My new boots from Ned. He gave me so many nice things!
A sleepy looking crew on Christmas morning
After the presents, we went to church with Bob and Erin after which, we had breakfast at Ned's parents house. Delicious waffles and omelets. The kids have a great time playing with their cousins and we have a great time relaxing and attempting to read the letter from Santa. Just kidding. It's totally legible.....Thanks to Suzie for interpreting the entire thing. When we got home Zoey took a much needed nap and Abby watched one of her new movies and played with her toys. Later that afternoon we went to my parent's house to talk to Nathan in Argentina. He sounded so great! I can't believe that he comes home so soon. It was a great Christmas day and our kids had so much fun!
December 27: Wallis Family Party
We had a yummy dinner and a fun party at Ned's parents house. As always, it's a full house and the kids enjoy every minute of it, as do we! I always like catching up with everyone. After the food was eaten, we opened presents!

December 31: New Years Eve
We had a little pizza and party at my parent's house for New Years eve. We celebrated at about 7:00pm because the kids don't understand the concept of time, new years eve or any of that.
My grandma and AbbyBrad and Natalie....I'm totally loving Brad's Letterman's jacket. Dork. hehe
We had a most wonderful December! We hope you all did too. Now, on to the new year!! Congratulations, you are totally caught up on all that happened from June - December in the year of 2011. You should be totally at peace with yourself now.
