Words of Abby

I love listening to Abby talk. She does it a lot, so I find myself entertained quite often.  Abby says some of the funniest things and I needed to write some of them down.

  •  At the end of the entire Pledge of Allegiance (which I didn't know she knew) she said, "with liberty and eternal life for all mankind."  I wish that were in the pledge.  This is combination of the Pledge of Allegiance and the scripture she recited in primary a few weeks back.
  • While I was doing her hair:  "Mom, you know what just cracks me up?  Chickens.  They are so funny! I just love chickens!"
  • To her primary teacher (which I heard second and third hand), when asked, "What do we need to do before we can go to the temple?"  She replied, "Put on your makeup."
  • Her favorite 'Knock Knock joke' to anybody: "Knock knock"  Me: "Who's there?"  A: "Banana" Me: "Banana who?"  A: "Aren't you glad I didn't say orange."  I think she's got that mixed up, but it cracks us all up.
  • In prayers: "Bless us to be nice.  Not break scriptures or not listen to our moms and no running away."
  • Before I take her to preschool, but after I tell her we aren't going to McDonald's after I pick her up from preschool:  "Well, fine. I want Dad to pick me up."
  • After I tell her that dad is at work and we still can't go to McDonald's: "Okay, well then I want Sherry to come and get me."
  • After I show up to get her from preschool: "Hi mom!  Can we go to McDonald's?"
  • On her way to the bathroom: "Mom, I have to go to the bathroom."  Me: (quietly) "Okay."  A: MOM!  I SAID, I HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM!"  Me: (much louder) "Okay, go!"
  • "Mom, when I'm bigger can I have a room that is unicorns?"
  • "I hate my purple room.  I'd like there to be rainbow stripes and a unicorn."  There will NEVER be an unicorns on the walls of my home.  Mark. My. Words.
  • "Mom, when I have my own house, can I have a cat?"
  • "Zoey, that is mine.  Give it to me.  Please....Please.....NOW!"
  • She can count to about 30 or 40 (maybe higher, I can't remember), but no matter what she's counting to, she always leaves out 13.
  • "Mom, what's tomorrow?"  She asks that a lot.
  • "Where are we going tomorrow?" She asks this even more.
  • "Mom, when is my birthday?"  She asks that the most.
  • Randomly while playing, "Mom, I love you!"
  • Randomly while playing with Zoey, "Zoey, I really love you."
There are so many more, I just can't think of them right now.  I love my sweet almost 5 years old little girl!

Hahaha. She is so adorable. And what is with the number 13? Emily always leaves it out too. So weird!
