It snowed

Whenever it snows, Abby is so excited and just wants to be outside that very minute.  The we got some real snow a few weeks ago and it looked like this:
This was Zoey's first time in a full snowsuit.  She hated it.  She also hated the mittens I insisted that she wear.  She would get frustrated and take them off and then stick her hands in the snow.  A few minutes later, she'd be so upset because her hands were cold.  Shocking.
Abby's a snow bunny.  She would stay out in the snow all day if I let her.
And, then we built this rather scary looking snowman.   Abby dug the rocks for his eyes right out of the mud.  Mud and snow are not an awesome combo.

A few weeks later it snowed again.  All the old snow had melted away and this was new snow to replace it. Abby insisted that we go out and play while it was snowing.  It was snowing the most wet snow ever.  We got totally soaked.  We do have a pretty decent sledding hill in the backyard though.  It's perfect for kids anyway.  This year it's a bit more treacherous because of the giant pile of branches left from the huge wind storm.  We still had fun with the snow-tubes shaped like reindeer that Santa brought the girls.
Zoey trying to keep her mittens on... this lasted minutes.  Maybe one minute at the most.
 Abby and her trusty reindeer.
This is the best action shot I could get of Zoey flying down the hill while trying to catch her at the bottom.  She had a great time, although, she really would rather just sit on the tube and watch the snow.
