Christmas Part 1....Wallis Party

On Sunday, we had the Wallis Family Christmas Party. This is always so fun because EVERYONE is there, and let's face it - everyone is hilarious! We started out with dinner, and Ned's mom cooked everything. She wouldn't let us bring anything. It was delicious! Then we opened presents- the best part of the day. The girls in the family all got a cute pair of gloves with money stuffed in them, and the boys got socks with money stuffed in them. The kids exchanged cousin presents and then got gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Wallis. The four youngest, Rachel, Cooper, Abby and Josh all got the cutest backpacks. They are stuffed animals that can be worn on your back or pulled on wheels. They were an instant hit. They all wore them around and stuffed things in the pack. At the Wallis house, you open gifts in order of age. Youngest to oldest. Ned can't stand to wait that long, so he tried to open his gift before everyone else. I finally just took it away after he got the wrap off. I almost told his mom that she should have gotten him one of the animal backpacks like the younger kids. I think that would have been age appropriate at the time. Thanks to Ned's mom Gloria for the wonderful party! We love getting together and we had a blast!
This is just a cute pictre of Rachel and Abby dancing. I think Abby was trying to get Rachel to do "Ring Around the Rosies". These two are going to be "trouble" for sure.

Ned has always been to excited to open his present that he has never been able to wait until it is his turn. As long as I can remember he would have his next present almost open as the rest of us took turns around the room. He would also open different ones than Bob because then he would know what were in those presents and then open the ones at the end that Bob had already opened.

It looks like you had such a fun time. That is funny about Ned wanting to open his present, Erik is just as bad, he feels all of his present and guess' them before Christmas day. What is with these guys! It is so fun that Abby has a girl cousin close to her same age, Gracie and my sister's little girl are inseperable, they even fight like siblings. Poor Abby scared of Santa, I bet she'll grown out of it. That was so sweet of your Mom to arrange for him to come just for her. I can tell she is one loved little girl!
